The following is a brief overview of the NPC court of Austin; included is a blurb about the person containing pertinent (and publicly available) information as well as their known bias (both positive and negative).

Prince: Ursa Grunwald, Ventrue
Elder (7th gen)

Prince Grunwald arrived in the Austin area in the fifties after traveling from Germany with her sire, the elder Ventrue Marta Ackermann, and their expansive mortal retinue. During the later half of the 20th century she was content to busy herself with clan politics; afterwards, she turned her attention inwards. She is a stern, procedural woman who keeps to traditional Camarilla values - it is perhaps why Austin's court is no so colorful as others. Many of her close allies have been removed in recent years; even her sire fell into an unexpected torpor. If this disturbs her, she hasn't been keen to show it, instead soldiering on and gathering what remains of her confidants closer.

Favorable to: Ventrue, Tremere
Biased against: Brujah, Gangrel

Seneschal: Estelle Rousseau (PC)
Ancilla (9th gen)

Seneschal Rousseau carved her way into the Austin scene the very night of the previous Seneschal's demise - either by merit of Toreador craftiness or "Divine Providence" remains to be seen. A vocal proponent for the merits of Humanity, she flits about gatherings with a bright smile and melodic hospitality - a fitting and perhaps welcome foil to the sterile and methodical Prince Grunwald.

Favorable to: Toreador, Brujah, Gangrel
Biased against: Malkavians, Giovanni

Harpy: Agnes Duchamps, Nosferatu
Ancilla (10th gen)

Agnes really tries quite hard to fit in with the flowery prose and exaggerated drama of the Toreador, but frankly she’s not much of a work of art. Her administration of the position of harpy was a carryover from a previous, forgettable Praxis - it’s likely her short, frank reports are what keeps her in Prince Grunwald’s good graces. Still, she tries to make nice with the Toreador despite their repeated cold shoulders; it’s like they’re the only ones who can get away with anything these days!

Favorable to: Nosferatu, Toreador
Biased against: Malkavians, Gangrel

Sheriff: P. Pike, Assamite
Ancilla (9th gen)

The taciturn Penelope Pike arrived in Austin in 1998 along with her sire, Verbina. The two settled in the city under the auspices of the current Prince’s sire. After Prince Grunwald rose to power, Penelope was quick to be introduced as the sheriff, much to the surprise of the fairly conservative court. Rumors fly that Prince Grunwald’s sire was the impetus of the choice due to some unresolved debt between the two court officer’s sires, which may be true based on the somewhat tumultuous relationship between Sheriff and Prince.

Favorable to: Gangrel
Biased against: Tremere

Scourge: Marit Eiker, Clanless
?? (??)

Marit has been a fixture in the Austin court since anyone can remember; her quick acceptance of her social station and her efficiency at her job has kept her in her position since her arrival (whenever that was). She never picks her head up, content to skulk in the shadows and dig her hands viciously into the dirt of the city while keeping her mouth tightly shut.

Malkavian Primogen: ??

Favorable to:
Biased against:

Nosferatu Primogen: B.B.
Neonate (11th gen)

B.B. is a young, soft-spoken Nosferatu who popped up in Austin in the late 1980s and quickly rose to prominence within the clan itself with her quiet reliability. She isn’t much of a political go-getter outside of her duties to her blood; it’s clear her focus is on the happiness and health of Nosferatu over any of the petty (or even not-so-petty) politics. She’s fairly nice (for a vampire) but avoids confrontation except in the defense of her clanmates.

Favorable to: Gangrel, Nosferatu, Caitiff
Biased against: Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah

Toreador Primogen: Poinsettia Arbogast
Pretender Elder (8th gen)

Poinsettia is the childe of the late Prince Tate and arrived in the city alongside him, who clings to her sire’s prestigious name despite his untimely death. A talented dancer who’s lost her partner, her continual milking of the tragedy has drained most of the sympathy from the kindred of Austin. Despite the eye-rolling theatrics, Poinsettia’s effervescent personality and tireless dedication to Humanity makes her at the very least a pleasant addition to the court.

Favorable to: Malkavians, Ventrue, Brujah
Biased against: Nosferatu, Tremere

Tremere Primogen: Athan Cadogan (PC)
Pretender Elder (8th gen)

The Dead

The Former SeneschalFrederick Price, Tremere
Ancilla (10th gen)

The late Seneschal was an academic sort who displayed a more complete understanding of management than magic; he was an appointment made upon Prince Grunwald’s claim to Praxis as the two displayed a close friendship for several years. He was murdered under complicated circumstances, and his death is the final catalyst that drove the Prince to make her declaration that kept the court of Austin functionally silent for two years.

The Former Ventrue Primogen: Joaquin Gerbalt
Ancilla (10th gen)

The late Joaquin was a young Ventrue who served dutifully beneath Prince Grunwald while she entertained other political avenues within her clan before focusing herself on more present, local matters. When she resigned from her inter-clan position, so too followed her shrewd and diligent student. His sudden death in mid-2014 was particularly hard on Prince Grunwald; the fury that was unleashed upon his assassins was ruthless and chillingly efficient.

The Former Brujah Primogen: Johnny Ragweed
Neonate (11th gen)

The late Johnny was born and raised in South Texas; he was embraced in the 70s in Austin and decided to stay and stick it out in the city. More of an idealist than a revolutionary, he still kept company with kindred typically disregarded by the court; anarchs, autarkis, independents. His vibrant youth and charisma left a vacancy that the court has struggled to fill since his death in early 2014.
